Painting below, it shows three women who are in deep thought over a future they can not change. The same contemplative look seems to be on the faces of the women in. I love the soft, pastel color choices, and how she seems to capture a moment in both. She truly loved her country, and expressed it through her work.

This mask is used today for entertainment only, however in the past it carried an extremely sacred significance. It was a high and powerful being that would appear only to privileged society elders. It was used in rituals to prevent danger such as animal attacks. Owo Yoruba peoples Nigeria 19th-20th century. Olowe of Ise 20th century.
